Slowthai is cleared of two rape charges
Tyron Frampton – AKA Slowthai – stood trial at Oxford Crown Court, yesterday afternoon, and cleared of three joint charges of rape against two women.
The incident took place after Slowthai had performed at The Bullingdon in Oxford, on 7 September 2021. The complainants said that they were invited to his tour bus, and later to a house party, where they were allegedly "raped on an outside roof".
Last May, after being charged with oral and vaginal penetration of a woman without her consent in Oxford in September 2021, Slowthai was removed from the line-ups for both Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds Festivals.

Whilst Slowthai, and his friend Alex Blake-Walker, admit that they had sexual interactions with the two women, they said it was completely consensual. Following a two week trial, with a jury of four women and eight men, the pair have now been cleared of all charges.
Slowthai has not commented on the events. For help, advice or more information regarding sexual harassment, assault and rape in the UK, visit the Rape Crisis charity website.
