Watch The Halfway Kid debut new song "OK, Sometimes I Feel Like Exploding" live in session for The Line of Best Fit
Saeed Gadir, aka The Halfway Kid, debuts "OK, Sometimes I Feel Like Exploding", an unreleased track from his forthcoming album Myths In Modern Life, live in session exclusively for Best Fit in collaboration with Crouch End Studios.
""Ok, Sometimes I Feel Like Exploding" is about when I was working two jobs, and it felt like I was being pulled in a million different directions," Saeed Gadir, aka The Halfway Kid, tells Best Fit. "When I’m good and rested and relaxed I feel like I can be good to myself and others, and when I’m not, I can reach the end of my tether quicker than I’d like. It’s about admitting to yourself even if you don’t want to, Ok, sometimes I feel like exploding (but only sometimes). My ‘I’ve Had It Up To Here’ anthem"
The Halfway Kid's new track will get an official release on 20 September, and will follow July's "To Get To The Other Side" single. The upcoming album Myths In Modern Life - out on 18 October - will also feature June's "Immigrant Song" release, and will follow his 2023 debut album If I Don't Come Home (Go To My House And Burn My Things). He'll play a headline show at London's Lafayette to celebrate the album release on 20 October.
