Watch Charli XCX write "Anthems" with help from fans in new Alone Together documentary clip
Ahead of the UK release of Charli XCX's Alone Together documentary next month, Best Fit has been given access to an exclusive clip that sees Charli XCX collaborating with fans via a livestream to write her "Anthems" track.
Charli XCX's Alone Together documentary is based on the creation of her 2020 quarantine album how i'm feeling now, and ahead of the UK release next month, Best Fit has been given a sneak peek of Charli XCX collaborating with fans on social media to write her "Anthems" track.
how i'm feeling now saw Charli XCX open up her songwriting and music creation process to her fans for the first time, and the intimate documentary shows her personal journey throughout the start of the pandemic, and sees her host a series of Instagram Live and Zoom calls with fans to help work on the record.
Alone Together was originally premiered at the virtual SXSW 2021 Film Festival and received a US release earlier this year. The documentary is getting a UK cinema release on 14 April, which will feature a special recorded video intro from Charli XCX herself.
Back in February 2021, Charli XCX wrote about the documentary on Instagram, "The documentary tells the story of not only the five week process surrounding the making of my album, how i’m feeling now, but also all the emotions that creating, connecting and living in a quarantine and in basically a new world evokes for people across the globe. Thank you to the angels who are featured in this documentary and also to directors Bradley & Pablo, u now know me inside out."
