Taylor Swift responds to stabbing at dance event: "I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies"
Three children have been killed, with eight others injured, following a stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event in Southport, England.
Yesterday afternoon, during a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class at The Hart Space in Southport, there was a mass stabbing. A 17-year-old male is currently being questioned after the attack which left two children dead, as well as two adults and nine children injured or in critical condition.
Taylor Swift has shared a message on Instagram, following the attack: "The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I'm just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders," she wrote. "These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families."
"As a mum and a nana, I can't begin to imagine the pain and suffering that the families of the victims are going through," Chief Constable Serena Kennedy said following the attack, according to Sky News. "We believe that the adults who were injured were bravely trying to protect the children who were being attacked."
