Taylor Swift calls out Netflix's Ginny & Georgia show for "lazy" and "deeply sexist" joke
Taylor Swift has called out Netflix's Ginny & Georgia show, calling the joke they made about her "lazy" and "deeply sexist".
Last night (28 February), Taylor Swift fans hit out at Netflix show Ginny & Georgia after the final episode of the show's first series featured a 'joke' about Swift. When Georgia asks Ginny if she's broken up with her boyfriend, Ginny responds, "What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift."
After #RESPECTTAYLORSWIFT trended on Twitter, Swift herself has responded to the remark, calling it "lazy" and "deeply sexist". She wrote on Twitter, "Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY. Also, Netflix, after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you. Happy Women’s History Month I guess."
