SQUARE announces final names for its 2025 lineup
SQUARE, a brand-new celebration of independent artists and grassroots music communities across the continents bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, is scheduled to take place from 29 January to 1 February 2025.
SQUARE, the radical new music showcase and conference, has announced its final ten artists, completing a vibrant lineup for the event, which will take place across four cities in Northern Portugal from 29 January to 1 February 2025.
Among the newly announced performers is Amsterdam’s Housepainters, Fidju Kitxora who reimagines the sounds of the African diaspora, seamlessly weaving funaná, kuduro, semba, and afro-house. Representing Portugal, is creative polymath George Silver and NOIA. The lineup also includes Canadian Lebanese multidisciplinary artist Liliane Chlela, Andalusian artist Rocío Guzmán, Czech electronic artist and hat designer SJU, EMMVR, a Mozambican-Portuguese rapper, Normal Nada, selected by Uganda’s Nyege Nyege collective, and Ricardo Martins.
