Prince pulled out of playing Glastonbury, new album to feature Rita Ora
As previously reported, Prince is set to release a new album later this year, with more details of that LP now emerging.
According to Minneapolis’ Star Tribune, the musician has been working with engineer and producer Joshua Welton for the record. Whilst an album title or release date were not divulged, Prince did tell the paper that possible song names include “The Gold Standard” and “This Could Be Us”, the latter inspired by a meme of the man himself.
Meanwhile, with Glastonbury Festival approaching this weekend, organiser Michael Eavis has revealed to The Guardian that there were talks of Prince headlining this year’s fest, plans which eventually fell through. “It got to the point where his people were talking to us about him doing it, but before he confirmed he got really upset because he thought we had advertised that he was playing,” he said.
