MGMT's new video for "Me and Michael" is brilliant and also a bit gross
MGMT have unveiled another new track from upcoming LP Little Dark Age - the full version of "Me and Michael" - and its accompanying visuals.
Joey Frank and Randy Lee Maitland direct the typically bonkers clip, which sees MGMT hit the big time after ripping off a band they find online. The song itself is a mighty, '80s-indebted ode with one of their poppiest choruses to date.
This new number comes after recent preview "Hand It Over", psychedelic opus "When You Die", and lead single "Little Dark Age" in teasing MGMT's upcoming record of the same name. Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift, Blood Orange) and Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips) produce the LP alongside MGMT. Ariel Pink and Connan Mockasin both contribute as well.
MGMT have a heap of live dates planned for the coming months - find out the full details.
