Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Ice Spice and Charli XCX to feature on Barbie soundtrack
The soundtrack for Greta Gerwig's highly anticipated Barbie movie has finally been revealed.
In an exclusive with Rolling Stone, it has been revealed that BARBIE: THE ALBUM will feature Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Ice Spice and Charlie XCX, as well as PinkPanthress, Dominic Fike, Nicki Minaj, HAIM, Khalid – most surprisingly – Ryan Gosling, and many more.
As the release date draws closer, more artists will be announced for the project which is executively produced by Mark Ronson.
Dua Lipa – who is cast as Mermaid Barbie – announced that the lead single from the move, "Dance the Night", is due for release this week. This marks the debut for her acting career. "Dance the Night" will be Dua Lipa's first solo release since the 2021 re-issue of her album, Future Nostalgia.
The compilation project releases July 21, the same day the movie, starring Margot Robbie and Gosling, arrives in theaters worldwide.
