Laufey, Árný Margrét and Elín Hall lead nominations at Icelandic Music Awards
Laufey, Árný Margrét and Elín Hall are among the most nominated artists at this year's Icelandic Music Awards
They join ex.girls, Mugison, and Snorri Hallgrímsson leading the nominations with three apiece.
The annual event awards across four main categories: Contemporary Classical, Jazz; Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop and Electronic; and Other Music. Each of these categories get nominations across Music Performance, Vocal, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Awards for Production, Music Video, Event of the Year, and Album Cover are also awarded across categories.
Grammy winner and former Best Fit coverstar Laufey is nominated for Album of the Year, Vocal of the Year, and Performer of the Year in the Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Electronic, while One Little Independent-signed Árný Margrét is nominated for Album of the Year and Performer of the Year in the Other Music category, and is also nominated for Music Video of the Year for her song "Waiting".
Elín Hall – who Best Fit recently filmed in a lave cave outside of Reykjavík – is nominated for Album of the Year and Vocal of the Year in Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Electronic. Hall's album Heyrist í mér? is also nominated for Lyric of the Year.
JFDR has two nominations for her album Museums, while Björk’s collaboration with RÓSALÍA, Atli Örvarsson’s score for the TV show Silo, and Nanna's "Godzilla" are also recognised.

The Icelandic Music Awards will be presented on 12 March in the Harpa venue in Reykjavík.
