Lana Del Rey, SZA, FKA Twigs, Mitski and PJ Harvey to headline Primavera Sound 2024
Primavera Sound have announced their first wave of artists for the 2024 edition of the festival which takes place from 29 May - 2 June.
Lana Del Rey, SZA, FKA Twigs, Mitski, PJ Harvey, Pulp, The National, Disclosure, Vampire Weekend, and Phoenix are top of the bill for Primavera Sound 2024.
Other artists announced include the likes of Grammy Award-winning artist Kim Petras, Troye Sivan – who has just released his third studio album, Something To Give Each Other – Jai Paul, Peggy Gou, Ethel Cain, Romy – whose debut solo album Mid Air came out earlier this year – Yo La Tengo, and Amyl and the Sniffers. Elsewhere on the lineup, The Last Dinner Party, Tirzah, Yeule and Julie Byrne are headed to Barcelona next year.
The lineup for the 22nd edition of Primavera Sound once achieves its commitment to equality (42.36% women, 42.36% men and 15.28% mixed projects). As Kathleen Hanna demanded at the beginning of the 90s in her concerts – "girls to the front!" – Bikini Kill will also be at Primavera Sound 2024.
Shellac, the immortal trio from Chicago, who don't play at festivals but next year will be back for their exception with Primavera Sound, perfectly epitomise the Primavera DNA. This is also shared by Yo La Tengo and Arab Strap, two bands closely linked to the history of the festival since the 2003 edition, when it was still held in Poble Espanyol.
Ticket registration is open now for fan pre-sale which takes place on 22 November for 24hrs. Tickets go on general sale on 24 November. Full festival ticket starts at €250 + fees, and a VIP ticket starts at €480 + fees. For more information, visit primaverasound.com.
