Kendrick Lamar isn't releasing his album today after all
Kendrick Lamar's new album isn't out today after all... but the pre-order is up and the credits pose some big questions.
U2 (or, more accurately, P. Hewson, D. Evans, A. Clayton, and L. Mullen) are given composer credits on the record. Is this a proper collaboration or just a sample?
Other names involved include Mike Will Made It (who produced last month's "Humble"), BADBADNOTGOOD, DJ Dahi, Sounwave, Cardo, 9th Wonder, The Alchemist, and a mysterious "J. Blake" - that's gotta be James Blake, right?
The album was teased via "The Heart Part 4", which teased an possible impending release of 7 April. Although we were all a bit off the mark, we weren't far off - only one more week to go.
The lauded rapper, who headlines Coachella next month, is following up last year's untitled unmastered. demo compilation and 2015's seminal To Pimp A Butterfly LP.
