Kate Bush discusses working with Prince: "He was adorable..."
Bush collaborated with the late icon a few times in the '90s - he guested on "Why Should I Love You?" from her 1993 LP The Red Shoes, while she appeared on his 1996 album Emancipation.
“He was adorable,” Bush tells Matt Everitt in a new interview for BBC Radio 6 Music. “He was really playful and really sweet. What a talented man, what an artist... I think it’s a terrible loss that he should go at such a young age, its incredibly sad. He was so prolific, he used to make me laugh because whilst I was working on an album, he would have done two world tours, a couple of albums a film…”
She also put to rest any rumours of unreleased collaborative material in Prince's infamous 'vault' - there's nothing.
The full interview will air 20 November.
Kate Bush releases new single "And Dream Of Sheep" tomorrow (18 November) - a week ahead of her new triple album Before The Dawn. The vocals from this new track were recorded while Bush was submerged in a water tank at Pinewood Studios.
Before The Dawn, a live record split across three CDs and four vinyl discs, replicates the emotion and energy of her 22-night London residency in 2014.
