Kanye West commits to streaming: "No more CDs from me..."
Kanye West says that he's ditched CDs for good, writing on Twitter that streaming will be his priority from now on.
He also says that the album packaging for 2013 LP Yeezus was "an open casket to CDs".
Recent record The Life Of Pablo hasn't been given a physical release, and it doesn't look as if upcoming record Turbo Grafx 16 is getting one either, and given his massive stake in streaming service Tidal it makes sense in some ways. Kanye's fondness for streaming may be costing him, however, with TLOP one of the most pirated music releases of all time.
I was thinking about not making CDs ever again... Only streaming
