Fontaines DC close their UK tour at End Of The Road before heading to North America
Dublin rockers Fontaines DC played the last show of their current UK tour at End Of The Road's Big Top stage this evening (1 September).
It's been a big year for Fontaines DC. On top of releasing their debut album Dogrel back in April, the group have been shortlisted for this year's Mercury Prize Award, alongside Dave, Foals, slowthai, Cate Le Bon, and more.
Ahead of their set at End Of The Road's Big Top stage, bassist Conor Deegan said to Best Fit of the nomination, "Yeah its cool. It doesn’t really feel like anything yet...The Mercury thing is just a list but it’s cool."
Their show today was their final UK show until November. Deegan said ahead of their set, "We have to go to the States for like a month so I might just actually take it easy."
Fontaines DC opened their set with "Chequeless Reckless", and continued with fan favourites "Television Screens", "Too Real", and exited the stage after a riotous performance of "Big".
