Beyoncé is officially the most nominated artist in Grammy history

Beyoncé has received 11 nominations in the 67th annual Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for her recently released Cowboy Carter; Best Country Album; meanwhile her track, "Texas Hold 'Em" has been nominated for Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

After being tied with Jay-Z for a total of 88 nominations, this year makes Beyoncé the most nominated artist in history, with a total of 99 nominations. She has taken home 32 Grammy Awards throughout her career.

During the 66th annual Grammy Awards which took place last year, Jay-Z took a moment to snub the organisers for not recognising Beyoncé's work in their Album of the Year category. Whilst accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, for his contribution to the music industry, Jay-Z highlighted the fact that whilst she was one of the highest awarded artist in the history of the Grammys, Beyoncé has never won Album of the Year.

Alongside being the most nominated artist in history, Beyoncé is also the first woman to be nominated across seven different music genres – Pop, R&B, Rock, Rap, Dance, Country, Americana.
