Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and SZA among artists shortlisted for Best Original Song Oscar
The Oscars has unveiled 10 shortlists for different 2022 categories, and the likes of Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and SZA are among those that have been shortlisted for the Best Original Song Academy Award.
Shortlists for categories including Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary (Short Subject), International Feature Film, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Animated Short Film, Live-Action Short Film, Sound, Visual Effects, Best Music (Original Score) and Best Original Song have been announced ahead of the 94th annual Academy Awards that's set to take place in March 2022.
The Best Original Song shortlist features Beyoncé's King Richard song "Be Alive", Billie Eilish's No Time To Die title-track, SZA's Dear Evan Hansen contribution "The Anonymous Ones", H.E.R.'s "Automatic Woman" for the Bruised soundtrack, Sparks' Annette song "So May We Start", Brian Wilson and Jim James' "Right Where I Belong" collaboration for his Long Promised Road documentary, Jay-Z and Kid Cudi's The Harder They Fall track "Guns Go Bang", and more.
For Best Music (Original Score), Hans Zimmer has two shortlisted scores - No Time To Die and Dune - and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead also has two shortlisted works, for Spencer and The Power of Dog. Other shortlisted scores include King Richard, The Harder They Fall, Don’t Look Up, Candyman and more.
