Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the most-nominated artists in Grammy history
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are both officially the most-nominated artists in Grammy history, after both receiving multiple nominations today (15 November).
This afternoon (15 November) the 2023 Grammy nominations were announced, and Jay-Z was previously holding the title of the most-nominated artist in the awards' history, with Beyoncé was just behind. But her Renaissance album, as well as many of the tracks on the record, have been nominated across multiple categories, which means she's officially the most-nominated artist in Grammy history alongside Jay-Z, who has also been nominated this year for his DJ Khaled collaboration as well as having contributed to Beyoncé's album (via The New York Times). Both artists have 88 Grammy nominations across their careers.
"Break My Soul" has been nominated in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Mixed Recording categories so far, while Renaissance is up for Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Music Album. She's also had tracks from the album nominated across the Best Song Written for Visual Media, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Song categories.
